Products-HONBUKI

The origin of roofing tile which has been covering temples and castles in long history.

The way to express "TRADITIONAL"

This kind of tiles born in Sounth Asia and it is brought to Japan in about 1400years ago. We call it "HONBUKI" and it means "formal roofing". It is a combination of concave tiles and convex tiles. We use the clay which is based on Mikawa area's soil as the ingredient. The Mikawa clay gives hard and profound feeling to the roofs, and it makes the tiles what must be on traditional architecture of Japan like temples, shrines, and fortresses.

More formal, more tight design.

Formal roofing has geometric beauty, the smoked silver color is compatible also with modern structures.
